The Phenomenology of Space of a Place: Synergising Glasgow & Singapore

Using photography as a medium, this project captures Glasgow and Singapore through a phenomenological approach, exploring the possible meanings and essence of experiences across two distinct places and cultures.
Can chaos and control coexist within the boundaries of places and non-places? Territorial markings left intentionally or unintentionally, objects abandoned by people, or the quiet submission to the demands of surrounding environments—each element invites reflection. Should we question how we use our everyday shared and personal spaces to arrive at a deeper understanding of what spaces and places truly mean?
