Insight:
Blindness and visual impairment affects 36 billion people in the world. 25% of blind people are unemployed and unable to provide for their families/ contribute to communities. 1.4 million children worldwide are irreversibly blind, but 40% of the causes of childhood blindness are preventable or treatable.
